WELCOME

We're glad you decided to drop by!

Our goal as a chapter of EGA is to meet and enjoy the arts of any form of needlework that uses a needle with an eye. We not only enjoy our time just stitching; we also instruct and support each other and any and all who wish to join us. We are particularly excited to have beginning stitchers, as well as those who are more experienced.

In addition to our regular monthly meetings, we offer weekend workshops with top-rated instructor-designers. We have piloted projects for Amy Wolfson and Margaret Bemdig. We also frequently gather in members' homes just to stitch and chat.

As a non-profit organization, one of our goals is to support other community service organizations, such as homeless services, new-born services, and the Boys' and Girls' Club. Please click on Outreach to learn more about these important projects.

OUR MONTHLY MEETINGS

Regular meetings are held on the third Thursday of each month (except December) at Golden Valley High School, Room 603 ( Maps). Social time begins at 6:30 as members and guests sign in at the "meet and greet" table. At this table, you'll be welcomed warmly, given a name tag, a current newsletter, and other items of interest. You will also have an opportunity to purchase tickets for the evening's gift basket drawing and to register any of your own finished projects you would like to share. A short business meeting then begins promptly at 7:00. Then members and guests have an opportunity to share projects they have completed. After a short social break, we begin our instruction program (Please visit our Gallery to see our past projects). The program generally lasts 45 to 60 minutes.

We cordially invite you to join us as our guest. We're certain that after you've visited us a time or two, you'll be anxious to join. Click here for a Membership Form.

If you like to have further information or would just like to chat about stitching and the EGAN, please contact me, Darrellyn at 661.299.9258 or Membership@scega.org.
